Communicating With Inmates

You can write to a County Jail inmate by addressing a letter to them:

INMATES NAME
c/o Walla Walla County Jail
300 W. Alder
Walla Walla, WA, 99362

Envelopes can have no stickers or writing other than addressee and return address; they must contain a return address. Stickers, sexually explicit photographs or third-party communications from inmates in other institutions are not allowed.

The jail cannot accept incoming calls for inmates. Inmates are allowed to make outgoing phone calls with a local collect charge of $1.95 per 15-minute call. Call recipient can choose whether or not to accept the call.

If you are receiving unwanted calls from County Jail inmates, you may contact the jail staff who can block such calls to your phone number.

Gifts for Inmates

The jail will accept only money for inmates. With the money credited to their account, inmates can purchase various items of their choosing from the jail commissary.

If you wish to provide books, magazines or newspapers for an inmate, they must come directly from a recognized book store or as a subscription to the inmate. Material of a sexually explicit nature is not allowed.
