Water Testing Laboratory

The Walla Walla County Public Health Laboratory tests private and public water systems for the presence of two types of coliform bacteria: total colifom and E. coli. The lab also tests for nitrates in your drinking water.

It is recommended that owner's of private wells get their water tested yearly for coliform bacteria and the nitrate level tested every three years.

You may pick up water test kits at the Walla Walla County Public Health Laboratory:

Times Monday-Wednesday 8:00 AM - Noon and 1:00 PM -5:00 PM
Thursdays 9:00 AM - Noon and 1:00 PM - 5:00 PM
