Drivers are eligible for a Deferred Finding only once every 7 years in the State of Washington.
CDL holders are NOT eligible for the deferred option.

You may request to dispose of your infraction with a Deferred Finding to minimize the effect on your driving record. This process enters you into a 12 month probation period. If you do not receive a violation within the 12 month period (in the State of Washington) the deferred case will be dismissed.

Revocation of the Deferred Finding: If you were to receive a new violation (In the State of Washington) within the twelve month deferral period, the Deferred Finding would be revoked. The Deferred citation would now appear on your driving history as COMMITTED. You will not be eligible to use this deferred option for another seven years.

You will be required to pay the full amount that was noted on your original citation.
The cost of a Deferred Finding is $125.00
THIS TOTAL AMOUNT MUST BE PAID IN FULL BEFORE A DEFERRED FINDING IS GRANTED.
You may pay the $125.00 Fee online or at court after a Deferred Finding Form has been submitted.
