2023-2025 Homeless Housing Assistance RFP Open to the Public
The Walla Walla County Department of Community Health is issuing a Request for Proposal (RFP) and invites applicants capable of providing services related to reducing homelessness for people living in Walla Walla County and supporting a holistic and effective homeless response system. An information session will be held on Wednesday, April 19th at 12:00 p.m. via Webex. The information session will be recorded and posted on the WWCDCH website. The deadline to apply is Friday, May 12th, 2023, by 4:59 p.m.

Homeless Housing Assistance Application
The Department of Community Health (DCH) is responsible for overseeing the continuum of care for housing in Walla Walla County. This includes the administration of several state and federal grants, as well as local document recording fees.
DCH is the primary fiscal agent for the document recording fees, along with various other state and federal contracts.
Walla Walla County’s rent assistance program is currently operational. Please call Blue Mountain Action Council at 509-529-4980 to learn more and to get assistance.
Requirements for management of these funds as required by Commerce include, but are not limited to:- Developing, implementing, and maintaining the Homeless and Housing Plan
- Homeless and Housing governing body for Walla Walla County
- Administration of Homeless Management Information System (HMIS) and coordination from sub-contractors
- Annual Point in Time
- System oversight for the Coordinated Entry system for Walla Walla County
